balladeer of moons

In the Crimson Of the Night

In the crimson of the night,
Navigate the stars with me.
Aviate through purple light --
While we love, we'll fly bravely.

If the moon should die tonight
While the tide is running red,
We will catch her in our flight
After nightly prayers are said.

In the morning of our days,
If we shipwreck in the sun,
Gathered up in saffron praise:
Christ will raise the dead as one.

In the violet air of night,
Cross celestial seas with me.
In the wrong of every right,
Teach our children to be free.
